HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON
I can't believe my little guy is already 3! It has gone by so dang fast. Today was exactly like the day he was born 3 years ago. Sunny and beautiful. I have loved having a little boy, he is so different than my girls.
We woke up and had donuts and chocolate milk. Mason was way excited for his donut with green frosting. After breakfast we had to take time to go get birthday pictures.
Mason did so good, I was surprised. He smiled like a champ and totally cooperated. Mostly he was way happy cause he got to throw a football while getting his pictures taken. While we were out we decided to take him birthday shopping and let him pick out his own present. (i definately think this was a hit, he got to have/see lots of choices and then pick out what he wanted) Of course he picked out a remote control car, and Sam picked out an airplane and helicopter that fly to give to him. And they both picked out a treat and were totally happy.
After pictures/birthday shopping we had really good intentions of going and playing at a bounce place or something, but plans don't always go the way you think they will. We got home and had lunch and Mason and Ben settled down in front of a movie and Sam went over to a friends house to play for a bit.
By the time we all got back in the house and the movie was over, we headed over to Honey's house. We ended up playing there for a while, mainly we didn't want to take our family circus act out in public. Mason was having quite a few meltdowns. He was exhausted. We headed on our way to take the car through the car wash, and get pizza for dinner. That was Mason's birthday dinner choice. But seriously after we picked up the pizza I looked in the back seat, and Mason was totally out. (even while the movie was on. You know he was really tired if he fell asleep while watching a movie) So we tried to transfer him into his bed, but he woke up and wanted pizza. So after pizza and playing with a few toys, into bed the kids went.

My mom made a make shift hat for Mason out of one of my dads socks

Dear Mason,
We made it to 3. You are a bit into the terrible 3 phase (it's not terrible 2's its terrible 3's), but I am confident that it is just a phase and we will make it out on top. You have changed so much in the last year, really turning into a little man. You are a very strong willed little boy. Hopefully we can put that to good use some day! You and Samantha have such a great time playing (for the most part), you indulge her and play house and mom/dad with her. You watch her movies and actually really like them. But you love to get outdoors and be a bay. You go out there with Molly and just play and shoot the ball forever. You are already a great little basketball/baseball/football/soccer palyer. If there is a ball to throw or hit, then you can do it. You love your baby girl sister. Right now you have been calling her LuLella. I love coming into nursery and listening to you sing "I Love to see the Temple" I can't wait to go there with you someday. You have such a sweet little spirit and I am so greatful that you chose to come to our little family. I love you, I love you alot, I love you more, I love you forever, I love you forever and ever!!!!!
Love
Mommy
