APRIL COME AND GONE

It's hard to believe April has gone already. Here are some of the highlights, or at least the ones we got on camera . . . .

Luella got a piggy bank for Easter, and she LOVES it. She has wanted one for a while, so she carts it around with her everywhere. I have to take it from her though cause she likes to take the monies out and then she leaves them around on the floor. Can we say choking hazard?!

We have been hitting up the soccer fields 2X's a week. It has been super fun to watch Mason play. He has been figuring it out. He scored 1 goal in this game and Rebekah and Lucy were there to watch with us.

Luella is always doing something to catch on film, she is such a sassy little thing.
Here we are again on at the soccer field. Sam and Hilary came to this one and Mason did so great, I think he scored 2 or 3 goals. I lose track, but if you were to ask Mason he would know exactly how many he has scored up to date!

This is my cute sister Hilary with her fiance Sam. They are getting married this summer, July 17th! So happy for them, they are such a cute couple.

What would a Sunday morning be without a little tea?
 And  nap?

Chance has figured out how to climb up and stand next to things (its about time right Lucy?!), so he got up to the laundry basket before church and started unloading everything. He was having so much fun . . .
but then not so much fun when he fell into the basket.
Time is going so fast, I can hardly believe it. It's sad to think that I only captured little bits and pieces of the month, but hopefully the moments that I've captured are the most important ones.

MY CUTE BOYS

Apparently I need to buckle Chance into the swing from now on. I put him in there to have his morning bottle, and then I looked back over when he was done and he was sitting there just hanging out. I hadn't ever seen him sit here on the edge before, he has gotten out of it and sat himself on the floor or taken off to go about his crawling.  He is such a funny baby. So chill and fun. I couldn't have asked for a better baby.

Mason got dressed and when I saw his shirt, I remembered that Chance has a matching one. (it isn't very often that my kids match, in fact, they never match. I'm lucky they put something on that doesn't have holes . . .you know since they are to the point of dressing themselves) So I got Chance all matched up and had to take a picture or two. These 2 boys are so cute! They have both grown up so much in the last year. Chance will be 1 in just over a week, so obviously he has grown a ton.
But Mason really has grown alot. He has matured and is constantly surprising me. He is sweet and considerate, and helpful and just such a delight to be around.

How can you not be in love with those cute boys?! I know I am!!!!

"FIRE BALLS"

Yep, that's right, Mason's soccer teams name is the fire balls. There you go. This is his first game, and he was so excited. I don't think he was really quite sure what he was doing that first game, but he had so much fun. Here he is throwing the ball in. Every time he would do something good he would look over at us for approval. Then he'd put a fist in the air, or his hand like and air high 5.I;m pretty sure that his favorite part about the game was the treats after. He is so dang cute, my little sportsy boy.

ELDER BALLSTAEDT

I went to my parent's house to make my usual visit and saw this picture hanging on the cupboard. There was Elder Micah Ballstaedt, but who was he standing with? This is a neighbor in our ward who was out in Boston for the Marathon and happen to go to the same ward building for church that Micah was at. What a small world. The picture was sent to my dad Sunday morning. I loved seeing and knowing that he really is out there, and he looks so great. He is even more handsome and grown up than I remember.
I'm so proud of him for serving a mission, I'm sure it isn't easy, but he is doing it. And he is really making the most of every moment and every experience out there. I just love him and have missed him so much.
So I was so happy to see a picture of him, and he looks so happy!

GNO WITH SAM

Samantha and I had a GNO where we went and babysat little Lucy. It was really fun. Rebekah showed us the ropes when we got there and then it was our turn. We played inside for a bit, then we loaded Lucy in the stroller and took her on a walk. Samantha was a little worried with the wind, she didn't want any dust to get into Lucy's eyes so we headed back home. Then we fed her, and took her up to her room to go nighty night. Samantha pulled out a couple books and we all squeezed on the chair (which is really comfy I might add!), and Sam read to us. It was so cute, and Samantha was loving being the big helper. Then into bed Lucy went. She was so good, just went right to sleep.
Then Sam and I just hung out, had some dinner, and watched some girls movies. Samantha had asked after you put the baby to bed what do you do . . . . watch movies and have snacks. Isn't babysitting great!!!!

WORKS FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS

Luella loves sitting in Chance's baby swing and his bouncer. So she sat in there the other day and was watching tv and just fell asleep. It was so dang cute, she is such a funny little girl.

SPRING BREAK

Samantha was on Spring Break and one of the only things we did (that I can remember) was go bowling with our new Pass of all Passes. Sad that this is the only thing we did the whole week, next year we are totally going out of town.
So anyways, back to bowling. Samantha and Mason seriously loved bowling. Luella bowled with Ben on his turn, and Lu actually really liked it. Every time she went up to go get a ball and bowl and we would tell her it wasn't her turn she would look at us and make a sad face and say "ohhhhh", it was so cute. Everyone loved it and I think the highlight of the night was that Chance learned how to clap. He was loving watching the kids go up and do their thing, and then as they would come back he would clap for them. He was all smiles the whole night.  So we will be going bowling many more times!!!!!!!

ABC MOVIE

So I got some ABC dvds to help Mason in his journey with reading. Basically I make him watch them, alot. And when he loses privileges, like tv and movies, he never loses his ABC movie privilege. And the funny thing is it has become a favorite of Samantha and especially Luella's. She will ask for the ABCD movie. So after they get in their jammies and before they go to bed sometimes they want to watch a movie, so you guessed it, they get to watch the ABCD movie.
This particular night Lu had her goggles on, not quite sure why, but she did. And in the movie after they teach the sound of the letter then they have you trace it in the air. So every time Lu would trace a letter, she would hurry and put her goggles on. It was the cutest thing and the funniest thing ever. And Sam and Mason were just being so good watching it. Samantha is growing up so much. She just acts like such a big girl now, not a toddler. And Mason is definately getting there. He has matured so much. He still has his moments, but he has his moments where he is so cute and sweet too that you just forget about the other ones.

So to say the least, we love our ABCD movies. They are our favorite movie to watch before we go to bed.
