MARCH WRAP UP

St Patrick's day was a hit. The kids loved their gold, lucky charms (which they is a novelty cause I never buy it) and their waffles turned green. They eat up all of these holidays.

The 2 babies and I were waiting for Dad, Sam and Mason while they went and played. Chance was so tired of being in his car seat, I don't blame him, so I let him take the wheel for a while.

We spent a Sunday hanging out in the living room, coloring, throwing paper airplanes and chilling with dad.

I can't believe that March is over, where does the time go.Time spent with these sweet little ones makes it go so fast, but what better way to spend it than with the ones you love . . .

LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIPS

I don't really have very many love hate relationships. Mostly just with chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, sometimes the gym and my new one is pinterest.
When I heard about pinterest I was so excited! I immediately starting pinning everything. There were so many fun ideas for crafts, inspirational quotes, tips on everything and the best thing . . . . . Recipes and there is the problem. So here's the thing, when I pin something I actually have plans to make it or try it out, and I do. I've made some fun crafts, tried some great workout stuff, and made tons and tons of recipes. Some I have liked better than others, but the point is I've tried them.
So here is why I have this love hate relationship with pinterest. It's one thing if I pin it and never try or make it. But honestly I use some of the recipes off of pinterest multiple times a week, not just once or twice. So do I really need to make cookies or a treat every other day? No, but there are just so many great recipes to be tried. Like for St Patty's day, there were these yummy chocolate cookies with mint frosting and then topped with a layer of chocolate. So yummy, and if I had just had 1 or 2 it wouldn't be so bad, but what about if I have upwards of . . . . . I was just trying to think of how many I had and couldn't count. It's bad, bad enough that I'm noticing it in my waistline. And as much as I love cookies and treats and making them, apparently I need to gain some extra self control.
So my point, Pinterest . . . . I love you, but I also really hate you! And after those chocolate mint cookies we can't be friends, until the next great recipe that I try!!

CHANCE'S BIG BOY HAIR CUT

Chance is 10 1/2 months old. He has this cute little shag going on. The one that hangs over the ears and down in the eyes, well he did until today. I had been thinking that he needed a little haircut, so today was the day Chance got his very first haircut. Ben was getting a haircut right after, that's why they both have their shirts off. It is amazing how much older it makes them look after a little cut. He doesn't really look like a baby any more, he looks like a little boy ( he actually looks like his big brother Mason).
Chance is so dang cute he would look cute with long hair or no hair at all. I just love him, and I love how excited he is during the cut and after when I took his picture.. . . all smiles.

SASSY LU

Luella was supposed to be asleep and Ben called for me to come into her room, this is what we found. Her jams were off, she had her balloon in bed with her and she had her tap shoes on. Just posing and singing (probably songs from Tangled). She has been obsessed with those tap shoes. I put them away and then she goes and finds them and puts them on. She is so stinking funny and getting so much personality/sassiness.

SWEET MASON

Tonight as I was tucking the kids into bed, Mason said something so sweet. I had brushed all their teeth, and one by one was taking them into their rooms, getting them into their beds and saying a little prayer with each of them individually. So I got Lu in bed, said her prayer and Mason was next. I usually say about the same thing in each of their prayers, you know the usual . . . . Bless them to sleep well, help them to be nice to their siblings, help them to listen and obey, bless them to keep the commandments and want to choose the right, bless them to want to be baptized, server a mission (I said this for Mason but not my girls), and help them to get married in the temple . . . And I personalize each one to what they may need, or what I may want/need for them at that time.
So after I ended the prayer I was down on the ground changing Chance into his jams, and Mason says to me
"so when I marry someone will I still live with you mom?"
I told him no, he would live with his wife, and immediately he piped in and sounded about like he was going to cry,
"I don't want to live with my mife, I want to live with you!"
So i told him that he could still live with me after he gets married. Then he goes on to tell me that he wants to marry me and not anyone else, and still live with me.
I tell him I love him, and that I will ask daddy what he thinks. Then I get up and on my way out give him a kiss goodnight!
It was such a sweet conversation! Even though I know his mind will change about wanting to live with me, it's good to know that he loves me and thinks about that cute stuff!!!

Those are the moments that I love and are some of the payoff of being a mom!

Mason's Birthday Pictures

Mason was perma happy on his birthday. I was out of town for the weekend, and I got back home right after church and Mason ran out to the car, gave me a huge hug as I wished him a happy birthday. It was so cute to see him so excited! We had both of our families over for dinner and cake and ice cream. I tried to explain to Mason days prior and even right before the party that he would get some presents from mom and dad, probably Honey and Poppy and Grandma and Grandpa but probably no one else. But I assured him that everyone would sing Happy Birthday to him. I just didn't want him to think that everyone was going to give him a present, because it was enough for everyone to just come to the party. He had so much fun with Sam and Corbin. They are so cute together. After the party he told me that it was the best day ever.
Thanks to everyone in our families for coming and celebrating with us. Mason LOVED it.

MASON TURNS 5

I just thought it would be fun to see how Mason has grown up and changed over time.

Mason in 2007 as a newborn

 Mason in 2008

 Mason in 2008 1st birthday

Mason in 2009 2nd birthday

Mason in 2010 3rd birthday

Mason in 2011 4th birthday

Mason in 2012 5th birthday

I took Mason to the doctors and of course, he is a big 5 year old. The dr told me that at the rate he is growing, he will be 6 ft 3 in. Mason was about 45 lbs and 45 inches (about). He is one tall boy. He is so dang coordinated. He can fly one of those remote control airplanes better than most adults (he landed it on the ledge in between our living and dining room), he loves anything remote control. He must be related to Ben. he is super good at sports . . . shooting hoops, soccer, hitting the baseball, catching the football. It just seems like anything boyish, he can do it. He is growing up so much, he has his moments of the whining and crying, but don't we all. He is getting better and better at his letters (the alphabet), for school. We practice them daily, writing them and going over flash cards. He LOVES his siblings! He teases them a lot, but he also cares so much for them. He and his dad have a special bond, when I can't reach Mace, Ben can. Mason definately has his sweet moments to me. I love it when he tells me he loves me, and that he wants to live with me forever, and when he prays that he doesn't have to get married and live with a wife. It is all so sweet. He is such a sweet, high energy boy, and I love him so much. I am so lucky to have this special little spirit in my care!
Happy Birthday Mason, I love you forever and ever and always!
